project 365, week 16

This week I decided to take all my pictures for the Project365 with my iPhone.  I used Instagram and Hipstamatic.  I love how even crappy pictures look interesting with the iPhone!  Nothing spectacular, but hey, it works!

4.18.11 – I had the worst craving for McDonald’s all day today and my wonderful hubby went out and got some for me!  Craving satisfied!

4.19.11 – Emma got a Monster High doll and for some reason they have interchangeable hands.  So not only does she have to take off the clothes for no good reason she also took the hands off and left them on the couch.  This is how I found them.  Kind of creepy.

4.20.11 – Here’s me waiting patiently for my root canal.  No fun, but at least I have an awesome dentist.

4.21.11 – I can’t remember what Chloe and I were doing but when I held up my phone to take a picture she knew just what I was doing and said ‘cheese!’.

4.22.11 – I took a picture of the candle next to me.  I love how it came out blurry.

4.23.11 – Best.  Cheese.  Ever.

4.24.11 – Though she looks like Emma the Grump, she was actually not grumpy.  She was just waiting patiently.

4.25.11 – Lemon Ramen from Big Grill BBQ in Morgan Hill.  It’s our favorite Korean BBQ place and my favorite ramen anywhere!

project 365, week 15

What a busy week!  Books, belly aches & birthday parties!  I’ve been lagging on the blog and keeping up with my bloggie friends and it doesn’t look like next week will be any less busy!  I’ll just keep snapping away though, hoping to get some good pics!

4.11.11 – Just some marbles in a candle holder in Emma’s bathroom.  Playing around with Hipstamatic a bit using the flash.

4.12.11 – Another Hipstamatic pic taken mostly because I remembered I didn’t have a picture for today and I spent most of the day feeling like poo so I drank this to help settle the babe in the belly.  Ginger Ale is gooooood stuff!

4.13.11 – We’re not coffee drinkers in this house, but we are some tea guzzlers!  We’ve got more tea than you can shake a stick at (whatever that means)!

4.14.11 – Today Emma graduated from Jelly Fish to Puffer Fish.  She’s got her t-shirt and certificate (or as she calls it, her birth certificate) to prove it.

4.15.11 – As I mentioned in this post here I went into the library to pick up one book and walked out with eight.

4.16.11 – My sister and her family are moving into a new house and the entire backyard has jasmine all over!  I love it!  It smells heavenly!

4.17.11 – Since these three are all only a couple of weeks apart we decided to throw a combined family birthday party for them.  They had a blast and surprisingly, the dresses held up pretty well!

project 365, week 14

Another so-so week.  I’m really losing steam here on this project!  We’ve been so busy too that I really haven’t thought about taking pictures too much either.  I’ve got to change my ways!

4.4.11 – This was my TBR pile for this week.  So far this was the best book week!  I wrote a review on These Things Hidden by Heather Gudenkauf and Still Missing by Chevy Stevens.

4.5.11 – Ninja Batty Shogun.  Name says it all.

4.6.11 – Happy Birthday to my nephew Isaak!

4.7.11 – Emma started writing her own music.

4.8.11 – Even though it turned out a little blurry I loved the way the sunset looked through the trees in the backyard.

4.9.11 – Look at how not thrilled Emma looks to be roller skating.  She seems to have some sort of love-hate relationship with skating.  She really wants to skate, but just wishes she already could.

4.10.11 – I like the way the dream pop flash in Hipstamatic made my bath water look like Jell-o.

Project 365, Week 12

This week has been a lot of the kiddie pie.  I haven’t been feeling all that energetic and I’m kind of morning sickie-ness.  Plus it’s been raining cats and dogs here so outside pictures (which I love best) are a no go.  This upcoming week is supposed to be sunny so hopefully I’ll get out there more!

3.21.11 – My pretty Ikea light.

3.22.11 – Part two of The Great Bookshelf Swap.  The bookshelves are now in the bedroom, slowly making progress!

3.23.11 – A crib rail runner toy that was mine when I was a baby.  My dad’s kept it for 35 years!

3.24.11 – Jellyfish swim lessons begin!

3.25.11 – Relaxing with her shades on even though we haven’t seen the sun in weeks!

3.26.11 – My mom’s beautiful mini irises.  I’m jealous of her gardening prowess!

3.27.11 – Finally a break in the rainy weather means I can snap a quick pic of the new car!  Hello Ford Flex!

Project 365, Week 10

I did not have the heart to get into photography this week.  I was so sick & miserable I just snapped pictures whenever it came into mind.  There wasn’t really much thought put into any of these early in the week!  Hopefully next week will be better!

3.7.11 - I took a picture of this same plant on our night walk and I still don't know what it is!

3.8.11 – Emma drew me pictures to make me feel better.  Sweet girl!  This is her happy sunrise.

3.9.11 – I would say that being sick makes me want to dress weird, but really I wear these socks all the time.

3.10.11 – They should really come up with a reason why we should be able to buy chocolate eggs filled with sugary goodness year round.  But since they don’t, Easter is my favorite candy holiday!

3.11.11 – Last day of Ballet class.  Emma’s with her two favorite classmates, Sofia & Autumn.

3.12.11 – Set up the futon bed in Ray’s office and immediately afterwards Emma and Ray had to lay down and test it out for comfy-ness.

3.13.11 – Caught this little guy on one of my mom’s freesia’s.  Who can blame him for hanging out here?  They smell so wonderful!

Project 365, Week 8

Another month almost done!  I must say, I am running out of things to take pictures of!  I’ve got to get out of my comfort zone and try some new things.  This week I went back to my camera as much as I can instead of the iPhone and I didn’t do any editing on these this week either.

2.21.11 – Emma’s new addition to our entourage had an accident on Emma’s kid’s menu!

2.22.11 – I got some great pictures of Emma blowing bubbles.  She’s trying so hard to blow lots of bubbles, can’t you tell?

2.23.11 – New books!  New books!

2.24.11 – Mossy!  I love the moss that grows in our front yard.  It’s probably considered a weed-like nuisance to people who know about these things, but I love it!

2.25.11 – Despite having 147 Barbies Emma feels she must dress up Daddy’s foot.

2.26.11 – Watching the clouds go by.

2.27.11 – This morning when I woke up I saw everything was all frosty outside.  So I ran out there and took some pictures before it all melted away.

Two months done!

Project 365, Week 7

It’s been a lovely, rainy week this week.  We’ve seen wind, rain and a little bit of hail and even a tiny bit of sunshine.  I don’t really like taking the camera out in the rain, but I’ll take pictures with my phone.  I love using Hipstamatic and using it on these rainy days has renewed my love of the app and I’m thinking about doing a separate 365 for just my Hipstamatic photos, but we’ll see!

2.14.11 – Happy Valentine’s Day

2.15.11 – The first dandelion of the season!

2.16.11 – Finally got my rings cleaned!  So sparkly!

2.17.11 – Love the rainy weather and I love an excuse to wear my rain boots!

2.18.11 – I don’t know what kind of flowers these are, but they were getting hammered by the rain.  I stood out there for about 5 minutes just snapping pictures of them.

2.19.11 – Driving home in the rain.

2.20.11 – Driving out to Placerville to see Grandma who’s been a little sick.  It was so beautiful outside and it just didn’t match the way I felt inside.

Another week bites the dust & I’m still taking pictures!  So proud of myself.  My little cousin Paris has started her own Project 365.  I’m so excited to see what she finds photo-worthy!
