probably not such a good idea, but...

I usually don't do New Year's Resolutions because I NEVER follow through.  Never.  But this year I think it's time I really attempt to complete some resolutions.  I mean, I'm a grown up with kids now.  I should be able to follow through with these things!  I'm going to keep it fairly simple though.  Let's not go crazy.

1.  I'm going to Wreck This Journal.  Completely.

2.  I'm going to restart my general 365 project and I'm not going to freak out and quit if I miss a day.  I'll just tack on a day at the end.  The project will be 365 pictures, not 365 consecutive pictures.

3.  I'm going to try reallllly hard to lose at least 10 pounds.  I'm actually 3 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight (from Olivia, not Emma, let's not be silly) so I'm pretty darn stoked about that.  If I can come down another 10-15 pounds I'll be really happy.

And that's it.  Because the rest of it, keeping my house clean, being the best wife & mother I can be, etc., etc., those things aren't resolutions.  Those are the ongoing goals I have and will always be working on.

i guess early is better than later!

The pregnancy ticker at the top of the page says 'about 12 days to go'.  Not quite accurate anymore since Olivia arrived a week ago today!

Yep, you read that right!  Olivia Francisca Yukie Ramirez was delivered via c-section on October 8, 2011 at 6:23 a.m.  She weighed in at 5 pounds, 11 ounces and 19 inches long.  Tall, but teeny tiny!

She is super amazing and we love her tons!  It's been a crazy pregnancy but having her here sweet and healthy is well worth it.

I've restarted my 365 Project.  I'll be doing two, a picture of Emma everyday and a picture of Olivia everyday.  I've added tabs at the top of the page where you can see both projects.

In the meantime, I'm going to get some sleep!  I'll tell you the whole story soon!

project 365, week 19

This week was not so good. Sad smile  For the first time I forgot to take a picture for the day!  I substituted a lovely picture, but it still bums me out.

5.8.11 – My Mother’s Day present from Ray.  LEGO Diagon Alley!!

5.9.11 – Here’s my missing day.  Emma & her cousin Dominic.  They may fight like cats and dogs sometimes, but they do love each other!

5.10.11 – Emma the Weirdo.  Yes, that’s a bucket on her head.

5.11.11 – Emma was feeling a little under the weather so Ray brought her home some feel better flowers.

5.12.11 – Ollivander’s almost done!

5.13.11 – Sprinkles cupcakes make everyone happy.  Especially me!

5.14.11 – Owls for Sale!

project 365, week 18

So behind, so behind!  I think I’m two weeks behind now.  I’ll post the week before today and then I’ll get to last week’s tomorrow.  Hopefully…..

5.2.11 – I call this one ‘Cheater Bokeh’.  I just took a picture of some bokeh on my computer screen.  *tee-hee*

5.3.11 – It looks like wine, comes in a wine bottle, but it’s not wine!  For us preggos.

5.4.11 – This is a picture of my lap desk pillow.  I love it!

5.5.11 – It was such a hot day and Emma and I were in the driveway while she was making her Mother’s Day presents.  Ray had hosed down the driveway and I stepped in the water and took a picture of the footprints before they dried.

5.6.11 – Took Emma for our pre-birthday pedicures.

5.7.11 – The Birthday Girl blowing out her candles.

And there’s the week!

project 365, week 17

Short week this week since I went over last week.  This week I edited my pictures.  Mostly using Picnik adding boost or the lomo effect.  Nothing too fancy, I’m just not that good at editing!

4.26.11 – Ray went out and bought a bunch of these little containers of ice cream.  They are awesome.

4.27.11 – Just a picture of a snowflake Christmas decoration we had laying around.

4.28.11 – Mushroom Portobello Mushroom burger from Carl’s Jr.  SO GOOD!

4.29.11 – German Rock Cane Sugar.  Best thing for my tea!

4.30.11 – Emma’s sunflower is almost ready to go into the yard!

5.1.11 – Had to buy three of these bad boys to try to get rid of the aphids that are destroying our rose bushes!

project 365, week 16

This week I decided to take all my pictures for the Project365 with my iPhone.  I used Instagram and Hipstamatic.  I love how even crappy pictures look interesting with the iPhone!  Nothing spectacular, but hey, it works!

4.18.11 – I had the worst craving for McDonald’s all day today and my wonderful hubby went out and got some for me!  Craving satisfied!

4.19.11 – Emma got a Monster High doll and for some reason they have interchangeable hands.  So not only does she have to take off the clothes for no good reason she also took the hands off and left them on the couch.  This is how I found them.  Kind of creepy.

4.20.11 – Here’s me waiting patiently for my root canal.  No fun, but at least I have an awesome dentist.

4.21.11 – I can’t remember what Chloe and I were doing but when I held up my phone to take a picture she knew just what I was doing and said ‘cheese!’.

4.22.11 – I took a picture of the candle next to me.  I love how it came out blurry.

4.23.11 – Best.  Cheese.  Ever.

4.24.11 – Though she looks like Emma the Grump, she was actually not grumpy.  She was just waiting patiently.

4.25.11 – Lemon Ramen from Big Grill BBQ in Morgan Hill.  It’s our favorite Korean BBQ place and my favorite ramen anywhere!

project 365, week 15

What a busy week!  Books, belly aches & birthday parties!  I’ve been lagging on the blog and keeping up with my bloggie friends and it doesn’t look like next week will be any less busy!  I’ll just keep snapping away though, hoping to get some good pics!

4.11.11 – Just some marbles in a candle holder in Emma’s bathroom.  Playing around with Hipstamatic a bit using the flash.

4.12.11 – Another Hipstamatic pic taken mostly because I remembered I didn’t have a picture for today and I spent most of the day feeling like poo so I drank this to help settle the babe in the belly.  Ginger Ale is gooooood stuff!

4.13.11 – We’re not coffee drinkers in this house, but we are some tea guzzlers!  We’ve got more tea than you can shake a stick at (whatever that means)!

4.14.11 – Today Emma graduated from Jelly Fish to Puffer Fish.  She’s got her t-shirt and certificate (or as she calls it, her birth certificate) to prove it.

4.15.11 – As I mentioned in this post here I went into the library to pick up one book and walked out with eight.

4.16.11 – My sister and her family are moving into a new house and the entire backyard has jasmine all over!  I love it!  It smells heavenly!

4.17.11 – Since these three are all only a couple of weeks apart we decided to throw a combined family birthday party for them.  They had a blast and surprisingly, the dresses held up pretty well!

project 365, week 14

Another so-so week.  I’m really losing steam here on this project!  We’ve been so busy too that I really haven’t thought about taking pictures too much either.  I’ve got to change my ways!

4.4.11 – This was my TBR pile for this week.  So far this was the best book week!  I wrote a review on These Things Hidden by Heather Gudenkauf and Still Missing by Chevy Stevens.

4.5.11 – Ninja Batty Shogun.  Name says it all.

4.6.11 – Happy Birthday to my nephew Isaak!

4.7.11 – Emma started writing her own music.

4.8.11 – Even though it turned out a little blurry I loved the way the sunset looked through the trees in the backyard.

4.9.11 – Look at how not thrilled Emma looks to be roller skating.  She seems to have some sort of love-hate relationship with skating.  She really wants to skate, but just wishes she already could.

4.10.11 – I like the way the dream pop flash in Hipstamatic made my bath water look like Jell-o.

project 365, week 13

Woo hoo!  Three whole months done!  I must admit, this last month was trying.  I was just not in the mood very often to take pictures, but I stuck through it and now we start a whole new month!
3.28.11 – The first thing that I’ve craved so far this pregnancy.  Yummy, buttery, salty goodness!
3.29.11 – I was desperate to finish the 6 books I’d started the week before and set aside.  Some I loved (Divine By Mistake by PC Cast, Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay), some were okay (Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen, Tell No One by Harlan Coben and Outlander by Diana Gabaldon) and some I hated (Narcissus in Chains by Laurell K. Hamilton), but I finished them!
3.30.11 – This guy and his neighbor are currently camped out right outside our backdoor.  Needless to say, that plug in the background?  It’s never getting plugged back in again.
3.31.11 – This is my favorite photo this week, maybe even this month.  I just loved the colors and the depth of field I got here.  Yep, patting myself on the back, pretty proud here.
4.1.11 – Cowboy dress up day at school.  I got her the hat, she provided the paper bag vest and napkin bandana.
4.2.11 – Waiting for our table at The Old Spaghetti Factory downtown I snapped this picture of the stained glass window and brick wall outside using Instagram on my phone.  I really loved the way it turned out.
4.3.11 – The last yellow hibiscus in my in-laws’ yard.  They have a couple of other colors too, but I’m drawn to the yellow ones.
Happy week everyone!
