graduation

Last Thursday we went to our last appointment at the REI Clinic (Reproductive/ Endocrinology/Infertility).  The receptionist said she thought we should have some sort of graduation ceremony when couples get to this point.  After all, it is something very exciting.

I’ve said before that besides actually getting us pregnant, the biggest benefit to having gone through the REI clinic is that we went in every two weeks after getting the plus sign on the pregnancy test for an ultrasound to check on the baby.  The first ultrasound we had confirmed the pregnancy, but also told us that there were actually two fetuses, but one didn’t make it past 5 weeks.

Since then I’ve volleyed back and forth between feeling pregnant and feeling like something may be wrong.  Any twinge or pain practically sends me into a panic.  Now in my 11th week I’m finally starting to feel a bit more secure and, well, pregnant.

So here’s the baby’s progression from about 6 weeks to 10 weeks.  We won’t be seeing him/her for a few weeks now that we’ve graduated out of REI, but that’s okay.  We’ll be seeing the baby soon enough!

Already starting to look like a baby!  I think the first ultrasound we had with Emma was about 11 weeks and she looked like a little teddy bear!  Happy growing little one!
